AL-WA'AYUL ISLAMIE CENTRE ORGANIZES ITS ANNUAL QUR'AN MEMORIZATION COMPETITION FOR 2022

Al-Wa'ayul Islamie Centre  has organized its annual Qur'an Memorization Competition among the students of its Halaqa(Qur'an Memorization School). For more than  two decades, this event usually  has been held as part of preparations to  welcome the Holy Month of Ramadan.This year's competition was held on Saturday April 2,2022 Which happened to be the 1st day of the Holy month of Ramadan at the Forecourt of the Centre in Madina Zongo. The program was well attended by elders and members of the Community, Qur'an Recitation Experts,  and Islamic scholars of the community. Several award packages were given to students who distinquished themselves accross the  various Recitation categories.

The Principal of the  Halaqa (Qur'an Memorization School) of the Centre,  Sheikh Ibrahim Swallah commended the parents of the students for their continued support to the school and asked for more cooperation to strenghten teaching and learning in the Madrasa (school).

The resident Imam of the Centre, who also doubles as the Chief of Madina West and Its Environs, Sheikh Salman Mohammed Alhassan on his part, expressed his gratitute to the teachers for their  enormous sacrifice and hard work. He further, commended the participants of the competition and added that he witnessed a tremendous improvement in the recitation skillls of the students  from the previous competition. Abdul Mumin Abdullah, who happened to be the overall  winner of the previous year's competition, was once again,adjuged the overall winner. He was presented with a standing fan  and a cash gift of GHS100.00(One Hundred Ghana Cedis) by the Imam.
