The Ummah Waqf Fund Launches a Short Code to enhance collections

The Ummah Waqf fund,on Saturday March 12,2022,launched its automatic Mobile Money Wallet deduction short code (*790*40) with a walk through the principal streets of the Madina West Community. The walk event was organized partly to launch the code, and also take the opportunity to improve the health of the muslims in the community as they prepared  for the up-coming Ramadan. Addressing the gathering at the end of the walk, Sheikh Salman Mohammed Alhassan, Chief Imam of Madina West and its Environs, emphasized on the need for  every muslim to register to contribute towards the fund. He further added that such initiative would enable the Muslims to also build their own schools and hospitals. The Assembly member of the Community,Hon.Abdul Razak Ibrahim, on his part, also encouraged  all to unite behind the fund so that they could tap into it for infrustural development by way of supporting goverment's development effort. The walk was graced by host of Chiefs and prominent  Islamic Scholars in the community.
